A TEAM of staff at a Chester Business Park motor finance company has been nominated for this year’s Your Champions awards initiative.
The Funding Corporation’s charity committee has been lined up as a contender for the Champion Team of the Year, for the work done to benefit automotive charity BEN and the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The committee of eight men and women has shown great initiative and worked hard to create a fun and inclusive calendar of activities which not only benefit the charities but support the company’s wider corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
Members of the committee have organised themed days around Valentine’s day, Easter and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and are well on target to raise £2,500 for the hospice, which will be doubled by the company to make a total of £5,000.
Stephanie Reynolds, charity committee member, said: “We are all extremely proud to play our part and to raise thousands for local and national good causes.
“And we want our work, and the recognition we receive for it, to encourage others to follow suit.”
