YOUNG fans of Thomas the Tank Engine are invited to take part in a train walk to raise funds for local people affected by autism.
The family-friendly Thomas & Friends sponsored walk, in Delamere Forest on Saturday, June 26, between 10am and 1pm, is organised by Cheshire West and Chester Branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS).
Branch officer Esther Fletcher said: “Our Thomas & Friends Train Walk is going to be a fantastic day out for all the family. There are three routes to choose from, so there should be something for everyone, and people are welcome to bring a picnic.
“We hope to see as many people as possible having fun and raising vital funds for our branch.
“Autism is a serious, lifelong and disabling condition, but the right support at the right time can make an enormous difference to people’s lives.”
Funds raised will go towards providing branch services including information on local services for both children and adults, a newsletter and awareness events for parents and professionals.
