A CHESTER pub has hosted an evening of live entertainment in aid of a worthy cause.

Ye Olde King’s Head in Bridge Street was the venue for the charity gig which was organised by staff at clothing retailer The White Stuff.

Bands in tune for the event included Ellesmere Port band A41 and Chester University musician Grant Pritchard.

A raffle was held with prizes donated by Lush, The White Stuff, The Body Shop and Hawkin’s Bazaar.

A total of £653 was raised, including a £50 donation from the King’s Head and £250 from The White Stuff.

All proceeds went to Cheshire-based charity The Joshua Tree.
