HE may not have won last year’s X Factor but Marcus Collins will be proving why he was such a huge hit with fans of the singing talent show when he visits Chester tomorrow (Friday).

The 23-year-old former hairdresser was tipped to win the show by judge Gary Barlow, who hand-picked him from hundreds of hopefuls to reach the final, but lost out to girl-band Little Mix at the last hurdle.

For weeks, the Liverpudlian had audiences hooked with his funky renditions of well-known songs such as Your Love Keeps Lifting Me (Higher and Higher), Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ and Can You Feel It?

And they will be just some of the tunes he’ll be performing exclusively at Cruise tomorrow, in a special visit to the city.

Cruise is well known for hosting talent from the X Factor finals and said they were ‘proud’ to be presenting Marcus to Chester.

Tori Hayes, marketing manager for Cruise, said: “Marcus is a real talent and great performer, we know he’ll give the crowd a fantastic show and tickets are flying out already.”
