A woman had to be rushed to hospital after collapsing at Pat Collins Fair in Chester city centre on Sunday afternoon (May 3).

A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said they were called to the fair in Little Roodee Car Park at around 3.43pm to assist a 71-year-old female.

She confirmed the woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital. It is believed the woman was in cardiac arrest.

An ambulance and two rapid response vehicles attended.
