Firefighters rescued a woman from an overturned car on Martin's Lane in Chester on Wednesday morning (June 17).

The 88-year-old was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 10.25am

A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said the patient was 'fully conscious and alert' at the scene and did not sustain and major trauma.
