A 52-year- old woman has been injured after she lost control of her car and crashed into a tree in Mickle Trafford.

Ambulance and fire crews were called to Warrington Road in the village after reports of a road traffic collision.

They found a saloon car had crashed into a tree.

The female driver was unable to get out of the car due to her injuries.

Fire crews had to cut off the roof off the car to allow paramedics access. They managed to release her from the car and take her to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

The woman was suffering from leg, back, abdominal and chest injuries.
