A woman has died following a collision in Tattenhall earlier this month.

The 91-year-old local woman was riding her mobility scooter along the pavement on Thursday, July 5, at about 1.45pm, when she approached the Barbour Institute in High Street, Tattenhall, when she veered on to the road, colliding with a car.

The woman in the scooter was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital and sadly died yesterday morning (Thursday).

Cheshire police officers are keen to speak with the female driver of a maroon Vauxhall Astra who stopped at the scene as she may be able to help establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The force would also like to hear from anyone else who saw what happened that afternoon, and anyone with any information should contact officers on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident 506 of July 5. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
