Witnesses are being asked to come forward after a man was assaulted in Ellesmere Port .

A 52-year-old victim was left with ‘minor injuries’ from the incident in Little Sutton on Saturday (August 20)

He was walking along Ledsham Road/Chester Road after leaving the Travellers Arms pub when he was attacked by two men between 10.30pm and 10.45pm.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in Ellesmere Port.

“The victim was walking between the Travellers Arms pub on Ledsham Road and Parklands near to Tesco when two men attacked him causing minor injuries.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the assault take place or have any information, which may help officers with their enquiries is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1019 of August 20.
