RAMPAGING Vikings visited Frodsham High School on Wednesday to take a rugby training session.

Widnes Vikings development officers Tim Holmes and John Foran held a session for about 20 pupils aged 13 and 14.

Frodsham PC Greg Thompson organised the event, which was designed so students in the town can get to know their officers better.

He said: “It was brilliant, everyone really enjoyed it, despite most of them never playing rugby before.

“By doing days like this it means we can see them and chat with them more. A lot of the children are sporty but have just never been given the chance before. Widnes Vikings were brilliant, they are great club with a brilliant youth set up.”

The school will host a further five sessions in the next few weeks.
