RESTRICTIONS have been placed on a Chester man after an Anti-Social Behaviour Order was granted by magistrates.

David Nathan Jones, 19, has been issued with an ASBO which places three conditions on his future behaviour.

Jones, of Walter Street, has been banned from entering the Co-op in Walker Street, Hoole and is further prohibited from touching or getting into a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

As a result of the ASBO, imposed by Chester Magistrates Court, he is also banned from entering a specified area of the city including Talbot Street, Trafford Street, Gloucester Street, Cornwall Street, Lyon Street and Black Diamond Street.

Joanna Davies, anti-social behaviour officer for Chester, said: “The imposition of this order will show David Jones how seriously we take instances of anti-social behaviour and how committed we are to tackling it.

“The conditions of the order should give peace of mind to those who have suffered as a result of his past behaviour and will provide officers with a useful tool for controlling him in the future.”

PC Rob Marshall, of Chester Inner NPU, who was instrumental in gaining the ASBO, said: “This ASBO is another example of the efforts made by Cheshire police to tackle anti-social behaviour and the effects it has on communities.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or see someone breaching an ASBO, call Cheshire Constabulary on 0845 458 000.
