Good news! A warm weekend is on the cards in Chester .

Sunny not spectacular might be the best description, but it should be a good one for getting out and about.

Maybe you are off to Chester Moonlight Flicks, firing up the barbecue or simply enjoying an afternoon in a beer garden.

While it might not be enough to rival the hottest day of the year so far, highs of 23 degrees are expected on Saturday (August 6) once the early clouds have cleared.

Sunday will be slightly cooler, but it should stay dry.

The Met Office forecast says: “Saturday will be mostly dry with sunny spells, although cloud will build up from the west during the evening.

“Sunday will be windy with a few showers and then rain overnight.”

Looking to next week the Met Office is expected temperatures to dip back down, but for the most part the rain should hold off.
