BIG Brother finalist Jennie Corner has arrived home in Crewe to an overwhelming welcome by family, friends and even strangers in the street.

Banners and balloons plastered her front door at Valley Road to greet the 18-year-old South Cheshire college student on Thursday after seven weeks in the Big Brother house.

The down-to-earth teenager was stunned by the reception she received when she stepped out in Crewe with her friends and mum, Liza Parker.

She said: 'I walked round town and people were asking me for my autograph. People who I didn't know came up and spoke to me like they were my mates.

'It's really nice people have been welcoming. I was worried if they hadn't liked me on the TV then I'd be hiding behind the settee.'

Mum Liza, 40, said: 'It takes us an hour to do a 10- minute job in town. People have been knocking on the door asking for Jennie's autograph.

'I can't believe how people talk to her like they know her after watching her on TV.'

Jennie is still on cloud nine after her rapturous reception when she was evicted live on TV and after hanging out with other house mates in London last week. But she said she couldn't wait to get to her own house.

'I was dying to get home and see my mum and friends. My friends at The Earl said how much weight I had put on but said how well I looked for it.

'The things I missed most were my friends, family and normal food. They would either give us lentils, beans and rice or really fancy Marks & Spencer's hampers with caviar. All I fancied was a chicken sandwich or a pastie.'

Jennie finished her business B-tech before she went into the house and now hopes to become a personal trainer and dietician after she takes a year out.

This week she is visiting friends in Liverpool and returning to London for magazine photo-shoots.

She is hoping to use her fame to help raise money for a Liverpool children's charity with fellow Scouse housemate Mikey Dalton.

She added: 'I am loving it and having a wicked time and loving every second of it but I know it won't last very long.

'I will take a year out living at home and working then I will look at going to university or travelling.'
