A MOTORCYCLIST is recovering in hospital after coming off his Suzuki bike on the A49 at Cotebrook last night, Thursday.
Paramedics and police were called following the crash at 7.15pm, which happened as the man, from Weaverham, travelled past the Alvanley Arms pub up Luddington Hill.
The casualty was treated for back injuries and “a large laceration” to his chin before being taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.
A two-mile stretch of the A49 was subsequently closed from Sandybrow lights up to crossroads with the A51 at Tarporley, said a police spokeswoman. The road reopened at 11.30pm.
