Pupils of Waverton Community Primary School have entertained parents and friends with a production of Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits.

Set in old Baghdad, the musical is a treasure-trove of fun and laughter by writer Craig Hawes.

The bustling bazaar is overrun with ruthless robbers, while up in the palace Sultan Pepper’s precious princess and Royal Ruby have vanished and to make matters worse, the poor Sultan cannot trust his own Vizier, Mustapha Widdle, nor his mischievous monkey Booboo.

The cast was made up of the children in Year 6, with the chorus featuring Year 3, 4 and 5 children.
