A LANDLADY involved in Frodsham and Helsby's Pub Watch scheme has been banned from member pubs.

Licensees unanimously voted to ban Pamela Quinn, landlady of the Cholmondeley Arms in Frodsham, for six months.

The decision, taken at a recent Pub Watch meeting, follows an incident at The Red Lion in Frodsham on Sunday, April 10.

Chairman Frank Golledge, landlord at Amore, confirmed a ban had been imposed, saying: 'She was asked to leave the meeting by a police officer, Inspector Phil Hodgson, and we then had a vote on banning her.

'There were only one or two members absent from the meeting and it was a unanimous vote.'

Ms Quinn, 46, who had been sitting in The Red Lion with a friend, denies any wrong-doing and says she has not been interviewed by police.

Ms Quinn said she had spoken to a man and a woman confronted her.

'I've been part of Pub Watch for five years and am asked to leave the meeting because they want to ban me,' she said.

'I've got no intention of getting myself into a slanging match with anyone.

'The allegations are false.' Insp Hodgson said: 'The person involved in the incident does not wish to make an official complaint to the police against Ms Quinn.'
