Teachers at Bishops' Blue Coat CE High School have been uptown funking.

The staff at the Great Boughton academy dressed up in their funkiest kit and grooved their way through a five-minute video to the Mark Ronson hit Uptown Funk. Bruno Mars, who featured in the original, doesn't actually make an appearance in the Bishops' video, created for the Year 11 celebrations assembly.

It begins with two teachers apologising for the lack of a Year 11 video due to pressures of the headteacher Justin Blakebrough leaving this term, before the man himself disappears into a toilet to change into a pink jacket and trilby hat.

This is the third year that teachers and staff have created a spoof video based on a popular song to entertain pupils.

Last year Mr Blakebrough led staff in an extraordinary series of dance sequences to the catchy block-buster song ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams.

In 2013 they shook up the Harlem Shake.
