A Chester film student has shot an upcoming iPhone 6s advert.
The latest project by Ben Hanratty, 18, of Westminster Park, has been picked up by technology giants Apple and used as their latest ad.
Former Christleton High pupil Ben sent them a video shot in Waterloo and Liverpool, including scenes near his grandmother’s house and of the sun rising over the south Sefton waterfront.
The video also features Ben’s school friend Elliott Tong jogging along the coast in Crosby, taking photographs of the Liver buildings from the Wheel of Liverpool, and visiting the aquarium at the World Museum.
Another scene was shot in Dawson’s music shop in Liverpool ONE while a Merseyrail train also made a guest appearance.
Ben said: “I sent my video to Apple and straight away they got back to me saying they would definitely be interested in using it, I was over the moon, it was awesome.”
Filming for the video began at 5am and continued until the evening, but Ben says the long hours were worth it.
The University of the Arts London student has already worked as a camera assistant for Google, Adidas and Channel 4.
He says he hopes to move into filming music videos and to one day work on feature films.
