A casting company is looking for extras to appear in a 'major feature film' being shot on Merseyside this summer.

The movie will feature 'A-list actors' and requires 300 extras for scenes in Liverpool , but further details are shrouded in secrecy.

Each extra will be paid £80 a day. They are being recruited by The Casting Network agency who have supplied extras for Downton Abbey , The Imitation Game, EastEnders , The King’s Speech, and Snow White & The Huntsman.

Ashley Ryan, senior casting coordinator, told our sister paper the Liverpool Echo: “I can’t give away any details apart from it’s a major feature film with A-list actors.

“We need around 300 extras, but the more people we have the merrier.

“It’s an enjoyable experience, and you get paid for it.

“You just have to take direction from the assistant director or director on the day – anyone can do this, but you have to act professionally.

“It’s vital people take it just as seriously as the lead characters do.”
