A PERVERT who secretly filmed three women in the shower has been sent on a three-year sex offenders course.

Jeremy Stubbings admitted hiding a small camera in the bathroom of a house in Elton and recording more than 70 hours worth of footage, ‘for a buzz’.

The 48-year-old, now living in West Sussex, was caught out only when one of the women discovered the stash of videos, which had been filmed between December 2010 and December 2011, Chester magistrates heard.

Stubbings, who has no previous convictions, claimed he did not film his victims for sexual gratification, but for ‘a kick and a buzz’, and said he had not watched all of the footage that had been recorded.

Defending, Guy Dodd said Stubbings was ‘incredibly remorseful’ for his actions and had become medically depressed as a result.

“This has affected him very badly. He had simply not given any thought to the consequences of what he did.

“He has not been able to work at his Wirral-based business since this happened and is desperately sorry.”

But magistrate John Goodwin said the offences were ‘very serious’.

Sentencing Stubbings to a 36-month supervised sex offending course, he also imposed a restraining order forbidding the defendant to make any contact with his victims and ordered him to pay £500 in prosecution costs.

Stubbings must also sign the sex offenders register.
