A ‘dangerous’ criminal who escaped from prison could be hiding in Cheshire.

Jordan McNally, from Salford, had been in jail since 2010 after being sentenced for a violent wounding.

Police are appealing for your help in tracing the 25-year-old, who has a surgical scar on his neck.

But the public have also been warned not to approach him.

Lancashire Police have widened their search as McNally has 'links to Cheshire'.

A spokesman said: “McNally is wanted after absconding from prison and is a dangerous offender.

“If you see McNally, please do not approach him and instead contact police immediately.”

McNally went missing from HMP Kirkham in Lancashire between 5pm and 8.45pm on November 23.

He was jailed at Minshull Street Crown Court for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in December 2010.

McNally also has links to Manchester and Durham as well as his near his home in Salford.

He is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build with brown hair and brown eyes.
