NORTHWICH Vics are due to submit accounts to the Nationwide Conference League in the next few days.

The club is expected to send them in by the end of the month.

Last week, John Moules, operations director of the league, said the club was in breach of regulations by not filing their company accounts.

He said this week: 'They have promised we will have them some time before the end of the month. We haven't received them yet but they are on their way.'

Mr Moules denied saying that Vics could be demoted over the issue. He said: 'Vics are under no threat of expulsion. Clubs receive fines for not filing their accounts on time.'

The Conference board next meets on November 16 but Mr Moules is confident the matter will be addressed by then.

He said: 'I have talked to (chairman) Mike Connett and he has promised they are being prepared and we are happy with that.'

Mr Connett told the Chronicle last week: 'There is no problem at all.'
