A BLAZING car dumped in Great Sutton had to be extinguished by firefighters.
Sub-officer Ken Dickinson said they were called to the vehicle in Rivacre Brook, at the end of Whetstone Hey, at 6.12pm on Wednesday.
He took the dramatic photo above and said: 'You can see someone has been driving the car around before running it into the brook and setting it alight.'
Fire crews attended a chip-pan fire on the 10th floor of Joseph Groome Towers at 6pm on Saturday. The flat was smoke-logged but the occupant got out safely.
Crews doused a car fire in Regal Close, Great Sutton, on Sunday; a van's engine on fire around Junction 14 of the M56 on Friday; a blazing skip outside Halfords in Station Road on Tuesday, May 10; and an abandoned car on fire in Coalbrookdale Road, Clayhill Industrial Park, Neston, at 7.30pm on May 10.
