A vandal caused thousands of pounds of damage as they smashed up parked cars in Ellesmere Port .

Police said the criminal behaviour was ‘totally unacceptable’ and for 'no apparent reason other than personal gratification'.

The offender went on their vandalism spree between 8.30pm and 9pm on October 12.

Windows were smashed on parked cars in Lincoln Road, Ascot Drive and Chester Road in Great Sutton . A window of a house was also shattered.

Inspector Chris Williams said: “This sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable.

“The individuals involved in these incidents have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage for no apparent reason other than personal gratification.

“Although these incidents occurred later in the evening, Chester Road is a busy road and I believe that there could have been people in the area at the time of the incident that may hold vital information.

“I urge anyone with any information in relation to these incidents to contact the team here at Ellesmere Port so the offender can be brought to justice.”
