A university graduate from Upton in Chester has set up his own video marketing business following award-winning success at the Royal Television Society and Bahamas International Film Festival.
Michael McCormick won the RTS Regional Student Award last month for his cinematography work on The Way We Wander, a Wes Anderson style short film.
He, along with the crew members, have also been put forward for the Royal Television Society National Awards next month in London.
Having recently had his own short film Independence, which he wrote and directed, selected and shown at Bahamas International Film Festival, he was delighted to win the award.
Michael said: “I’m happy to have had all of this success in such a short time. I’m planning to keep up this momentum and look forward to my future business venture into video marketing.”
Since attending the film festival, he has also managed to sell the rights to Shorts International for international distribution in US and European territories.
He is now focusing his efforts in setting up his own Chester-based corporate video company, under the name McCormick Video Marketing.
