Students from the University of Chester will be cleaning up the city’s Garden Quarter on Saturday, (December 13).

The project is coordinated by student union vice president Savannah Miles in partnership with Lord Mayor of Chester and local councillor Bob Rudd and Chester and Cheshire West Council.

Savannah said: “This is a much loved event by our students as it is a chance to say thank you for being our neighbours for the past term and accepting us into the local community. We are raring to show you how much we appreciate you all.”

She added: “Our students are very excited to get back into the community and have a good clean-up before we go and visit our families for the Christmas holidays.

“We are all excited to meet any of you on the day and hopefully be a helping hand.”

The students will be out and about collecting and disposing of litter from noon.
