The University Cathedral Free School opened its doors for the first time on Wednesday, September 4 to two full classes of children in Reception and Key Stage 1.
Being oversubscribed since early on in the development of the project, the school welcomed 60 excited children to Gateway House, their temporary home, before moving to the permanent and beautiful Abbey Square location in the new year.
Staff have been recruited from far and wide and the school has the support and expertise of both the Cathedral and UCAT (University of Chester Academies Trust) .
