AN UNEXPLODED hand grenade caused drama in Cuddington today (Monday).
Cheshire Constabulary was called to an address in Forest Road at 10.42am after builders working on a site saw the unexploded grenade.
Police closed nearby roads and evacuated neighbouring houses while the bomb disposal squad assessed the device.
The grenade was then moved to a nearby field for a controlled explosion by bomb disposal squad officers.
Residents returned to their homes shortly after noon and roads have now reopened.
