Two teenage girls were allegedly flashed by a man on a Chester cycle path last night (August 23).

Then around an hour and a half later, a woman walking along Faulkner Street in Hoole reported seeing a man exposing himself.

Now police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information about the two indecent exposures, which are thought to involve the same man.

The first incident occurred as the girls were walking along the Chester Millennium Greenway cycle path, off Brook Lane, at around 7pm.

They saw a man using a mobile phone, but as they got closer to him they realised he was exposing himself. The second incident took place at around 8.30pm.

Offender's description

The offender is described as a white man, tanned, approximately 5ft 8 inches tall, of slim to medium build with shaved dark hair, and possibly a moustache.

He was wearing a dark blue or black top, sunglasses and jeans.

Chester Local Policing Unit Inspector Karen Jaundrill said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises the description of this man, or who may have seen the offence take place, to contact the team here at Chester.

“Although investigations in relation to these incidents are in their early stages, we do believe that these incidents are linked and we are keen to trace the person responsible.”

Anyone with any information in relation to the incidents is asked to contact Cheshire police on 101, quoting incident number 865 of August 23.

Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
