TWO people have been arrested after lorries stolen from a North Wales haulage firm were found abandoned in Ince.

North Wales police received a call at 9.40pm on Wednesday (October 12) that three Volvo tipper trucks had been stolen from a Porthmadoc haulage firm.

After alerting Cheshire and Dyfed Powys police forces, the vehicles were later spotted moving into Cheshire.

One vehicle was stopped on the A56 at 10.20pm where two people were arrested and taken into custody at St Asaph.

The two other vehicles were found abandoned in Marsh Lane, Ince, at around 8.00am this morning.

Detective Inspector Gareth Evans, of North Wales Police, said: “We are working closely with Cheshire police to trace the outstanding offenders and our investigations continue.”
