MORE than 40,000 spectators turned out to Halton's annual fireworks display at the Silver Jubilee Bridge on Wednesday.
The huge crowd enjoyed a 20-minute fireworks spectacular set to music.
Cllr Rob Polhill, Halton Borough Council's executive board member for tourism, said: 'Once again we had a truly spectacular fireworks festival here in Halton.
'The display itself was wonderful and the atmosphere among the crowds made it a great night all-round.
'Congratulations to our promotions and tourism for their hard work.'
