TRIBUTES to the four people killed in a car crash at Neston on Sunday morning have flooded onto social network sites.

The dead have been named as John Aston, 20, Eddy Smith, 19, Michaela Favager, 19, and Gill Fowle, 43, who all lived near the scene of the tragedy in Neston.

Cheshire police received a 999 call at 2.10am on Sunday to say that a car had collided with a tree on the junction the A540 Chester High Road and Runnel, near Neston.

The four friends had been travelling along the A540 heading towards Wirral when the collision occurred.

The Vauxhall Tigra they were in somersaulted several times after hitting the tree before coming to rest on its roof.

John and Gill are understood to have worked behind the bar at the Brewers Arms pub in Neston. Eddy, a plasterer, knew John and Michaela from school. Flowers and tributes have been left at the scene.

Facebook tribute sites have already been set up by friends and messages have flooded onto the sites.

Nathan Moodie left a message on Facebook for Eddie Smith saying: "Can't understand why it had to happen to you and the others, you were a good lad a good m8."

Kerry Sweeney wrote on Michaela Favager’s tribute wall: "You will be missed so very much Micheala, you rest in peace, u were such a special girl xxxx"

Jayne Robertson wrote: "RIP. .... it’s so sad ..... so young, my love and prayers go to all families. God bless."
