A family has paid tribute to a motorcyclist who died after being involved in a collision with a car near Tarporley .
Father and grandfather Philip Evanson, 55, from Frodsham , sadly passed away at the scene of the accident involving his red Honda motorcycle and a black Fiat 500 at the junction of Forest Road and the A49, Tarporley Road, near Tarporley, about 9.30pm on Friday (May 27).
The driver and the passenger of the Fiat were both uninjured.
In a statement, the family of the deceased said: “We are deeply saddened by our father’s death. He was riding home after spending the day with his daughter and grandchildren when this unfortunate incident occurred.
“Although he has been taken from us prematurely we take some comfort in the fact he spent his last hours surrounded by people he loved dearly. We would like to express our thanks to everyone who has shown their support during this sad time.”
