Train travellers were disrupted during Wednesday evening after a man trespassed on the line.
The Chester and Ellesmere Port line faced delays and cancellations after emergency services were called to deal with an incident near Little Sutton.
The power line was shut down as a precaution. It has now been reactivated and trains on Thursday morning are not reporting any delays.
British Transport Police were called out at around 8pm.
Pictures show a man, wearing a grey hooded top and blue trainers, being escorted away by police.
The company tweeted at 9.30pm that services were running normally.
