HUNDREDS of vehicles will roll up at this weekend's Nantwich Transport Festival.

Organised by the Nantwich Forum, the free-entry festival is in its fourth year and takes place at Barony Park on Saturday and Sunday.

As well as vintage cars there will be motorcycles, bicycles, vans, American-themed cars with their flash paintwork and even a group of red London Routemaster double-decker buses.

Forum event co-ordinator Joyce Vernon said: 'There will be between 100 and 150 vehicles each day so there is a huge selection for visitors to look at.

'There will also be a number of charity stalls as well as children's play rides. The forum is really looking forward to this event, the weather is set to be so much better than last year.'

In Nantwich town centre, street entertainment on Saturday will take up the same theme when Laurel and Hardy imitators 'Haurel and Lardy' get up to mischief.

Complete with an adapted vintage Ford car, they look very much like the favourite comics from the black and white screen era.
