TOURISTS were involved in a crash at a busy junction in Chester city centre which saw a man taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

A male driver in a Mercedes executive car was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the smash with a Ford Mondeo driven by American tourists at the junction of Watergate Street and St Martin’s Way at about 3.30pm today (Thursday, May 21).

North West Ambulance Service spokesperson Tracey Leung said: “We received a call at about 3.26pm to an road traffic collision a the junction of Watergate Street and St Martin’s Way. A male driver was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with minor injuries.”
