Tilston village have organised an Advent Window Trail.

Every day, a new window is revealed. There will be 24 displays altogether including the village shop, Tilston Parochial C of E Primary School and St Mary’s Church.

The rest of the windows are being shown in houses around Tilston.

Each display has been allocated a date to reveal itself and all have been designed by the individuals or families who live and work at the properties.

They were asked to design something which represents Christmas and what it might mean to them.

Each and every window is a surprise to the rest of the village and visitors and passers by. Come Christmas Eve, there will be 24 displays shining through Tilston.

The event has been organised by two local residents Joanne Haigh and Moya Watson.

The Rev Jane Stephenson asked them to organise it with support from the church after trialling it last year and gaining a positive response.

Moya Watson came up with the idea after hearing about something similar from a few years earlier.
