THREE hundred Cheshire Army Cadets have returned from a largely rain soaked annual camp in Scotland.

Apart from “green” activities, the cadets were put through their paces with skiing, abseiling, canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, sport and more on offer.

Although the inclement weather appeared to suit Scotland’s ticks and mosquitos, the medical officer reported a less than average number of cadets on sick parade.

During the camp, the cadets welcomed a number of VIP guests including the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire and honorary colonel of the Cheshire Army Cadet Force David Briggs and the chairman of Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cllr Eleanor Johnson.
