POLICE are urging city homeowners to be extra careful after a sneak theft.

On Tuesday, April 7, a thief stole a camera from a houseboat while the residents were onboard.

The thief took the camera by reaching in through an open window.

The offender is described as white, wore a black hooded top and ran off down the tow path in the direction of the Frog and Nightingale pub.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Residents are advised to keep doors and windows locked, even whilst inside their homes, and especially when outside ensuring their home is not vulnerable to burglars.”
