Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding a young woman who died in Chester on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Delamere Street in Chester at around 6.30pm on October 22 after the ‘sudden death’ of an 18-year-old woman.

She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Several police cars were parked opposite Sumner House student accommodation, the former Travelodge building on Delamere Street on Saturday evening following the incident.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “I can confirm we are not treating the death as suspicious.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Police are still unable to explain the death of the young woman.
