TEACHERS were in the firing line when a charity week got under way at The Grange School, Hartford.

The aim is to raise at least £6,000 for a range of good causes including a school in the Gambia and charity The Joshua Tree.

Last Monday pupils flocked to exchange their spare cash for water guns to aim at teachers who volunteered to spend

part of the day getting soaked at an Easter Fair.

Other delights included maggot racing, a cake shop, a penalty shootout and dancing.

The fun continued on Tuesday with a fancy dress movies day and a battle of the band.

And on Wednesday staff faced the most gruesome challenge of all - I'm a Teacher Get Me Out of Here! - featuring a bush tucker trials involving snakes, grubs and rats.
