LITTLE chatterboxes from a Tattenhall pre-school took part in a sing-a-long charity challenge.

Sandstones Pre-School took part in the Chatterbox Challenge which is an annual fundraising event from the ‘I Can’ charity which works to support speech development.

Sandstones organised a sponsored mini-beast themed sing-a-long.

The children all made masks or hats depicting their favourite mini beast or other animal that can be found in the garden.

Joanne Hutcheon from the pre-school said: “The children all made masks or hats depicting their favourite mini beast or other animal that can be found in the garden. They all learned new songs and performed them to raise money. Songs themselves are a great way to support communication. Around one in 10 children struggle to communicate.

“In some areas around 50% of children are starting school with poor language skills. The children all had great fun, raised £60 for the charity and enjoyed two weeks of mini beast activities.”
