Tattenhall Community Association was helped to buy computer equipment and a projector to show films in the Barbour Institute.

Parish council chair Pat Black said: “While most of these are small sums, they do make a contribution to the community.

“In this difficult financial year, the parish council was keen to ensure that the precept was not increased, and was unable to set aside any money for community groups.”

Mrs Black commended the work of parish councillors, Carole Boyd and Dave Evans, who are standing down.
