PLANS for a care village on the outskirts of Tattenhall have been granted planning permission by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The new development, which will provide a range of accommodation and care options for those over the age of 65, is a partnership between landowner Bolesworth Estate and Seddon Homes.

The scheme includes a 36-bed care facility, a wellness spa and a host of on-site community facilities, which will provide employment opportunities.

It will also provide for 20 affordable properties which will be available for local residents over 65.

Matthew Morris, estate manager at Bolesworth Estate, said: “We are delighted that planning permission has finally been granted for this exciting development.

“The number of over 65s is set to double in the next 20 years and this scheme will provide much needed choice and important care facilities in the Tattenhall area.”

Construction work is expected to begin later this year.
