Instead of a single assessment for entry, the Firs School in Chester is holding a taster morning on Thursday, 13th March.
Children ready for reception in September 2014 are invited into the school for a morning to take part in activities, sample life at the school and meet the teachers and staff.
Visiting children will be able to enjoy hearing a story, completing some artwork, playing educational games and sample a snack; activities typical of a normal day in The Firs’ reception class.
The next ‘open for all’ event with all the excitement of the Circus follows on Saturday 29th March 9.30 to 12.30 with a free morning of fun, exploration, discovery and adventure for all children aged 3-9, irrespective of whether they are intending to join the school.
There will be circus skills workshops, drama, craft and storytelling activities. Parents will be able to enjoy some time to themselves in the free cafe with wifi and newspapers, there will be snacks and treats for the children. Last year over 110 children attended.
