A police investigation is under way after thieves ransacked a hairdressing salon in Tarvin, making off with thousands of pounds worth of products.

The offenders are said to have targeted Chocolate Lime on Tarvin High Street at about 2.37am on Wednesday, January 26, and helped themselves to expensive hair products thought to be worth in excess of £4,000.

They also looted recording equipment and electrical items from a first floor office before police were alerted to the premises.

The owner of the building told The Chronicle that thousands of pounds of damage had also been caused from the crooks smashing through the plate glass window and door frame to get into the salon.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said in a statement: “Police are investigating a burglary at a hairdressers in High Street, Tarvin which occurred at around 2.37am on January 26.

"Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 51 of January 26. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
