TARVIN primary school’s Christmas production went off with a bang despite the crackers not going pop.

The infant children from the school took part in the production of It’s a Cracker which was performed to relatives and friends.

Teacher Nicola Owen said: “We had a slight problem in that the crackers wouldn’t pop, but apart from that it went really well.

“The story focused around a Christmas family meal, and the grandad telling the children the story of the Nativity.”

The pupils and teachers were also very grateful to Tarvin Sands, which donated a Christmas tree to the school.
