A TARPORLEY couple’s joint effort could be named top of the chops.
Rob Wade and Clare Farren who own and run the Village Butcher on High Street said they were delighted to make the final of the North West Countryside Alliance awards.
The couple were nominated by a customer who decided their quality service and products made them a cut above the rest.
Rob said: “The first we knew about it was when we recived a letter and forms to fill in through the post. We were thrilled and it is so nice that a customer has nominated us.”
Rob and Clare took over the butchers in 2005 and since then have embraced community life and have supported the schools and local football team as well as selling top quality products to local residents.
The Countryside Alliance Awards, celebrate the characters, skills, traditions and enterprise of the countryside through the people who work so hard to make it tick.
The pair will find out at the end of the month whether they have made it through to the next stage.
