AN OVERGROWN corner of Tarporley has been transformed into an educational garden for the children’s groups in the village.

The new orchard garden was opened by the Rev Keith Hine, Rector of St Helen’s, and Tracy Chorlton, supervisor of the Tarporley Done Room Pre-school.

The pre-school and the parish church worked together to turn the corner of St Helen’s rectory garden into an adventure and educational garden for the all the groups which use the Done Room.

The Rev Hine said: “This has been an exciting project between the church and the community thanks to enthusiasm and hard work, plus grant funding.

“And it will mean less gardening for me to do!”
