A celebrated Abba tribute duo are to appear this New Year’s Eve in an exclusive performance in Tarporley.
Sarah Fearnley and Diana Edwards, who have more than 16 years in the tribute business, will be bringing their show to Pesto at Cabbage Hall on Forest Road for one of their most intimate gigs.
The pair, who perform as The Voices of Abba: Agnetha and Frida, have previously entertained crowds at large-scale events including Glastonbury and BBC Proms in the Park.
Sarah Fearnley, who appears as the Frida half of the group, said: “We’re privileged and excited to perform in Tarporley on such an important night and are looking forward to seeing the New Year in with a great night of fun, dancing, celebrations and, of course, some 70s sparkle!”
The set list for the satin-clad pair will include classic hits such as Waterloo, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen and many more.
Sarah added: “The music of Abba is timeless as it reaches all age groups from two-year-olds to 102! The songs are so well written and incredibly relatable which makes them wonderful to perform as you can see the connection they have with the audience.”
With 70s themed fancy dress optional on the night, Agnetha and Frida will also choose the best dressed male and female at the event who will each win a bottle of Prosecco.
Manager of Pesto Cabbage Hall Laura Shannon said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Agnetha and Frida to Cabbage Hall as Sarah and Diana are hugely talented and really recreate the sound and look of Abba’s female stars.”
Tickets cost £55 including a four-course Italian dinner and your table for the evening. As tickets are limited, advance booking is essential on 01829 760 292.
